How much better a testimony to the show than how it impacted those most directly involved in it? I also enjoy the diversity of the audience it has drawn. Women are socialized to view each other as the enemy in society. The glimpse inside The L Word Ladies' inner circle of friendship reminded us all that friendship is a precious personal asset. We can be close friends as women, whether we are Lesbians or not. Been out for 40 years...but strong ties to the women in my life runs deeper than mere sexuality.
